  • Reading books and going to the bookstore to play with┬áthe train tableIMG_5697
  • Climbing, climbing, and more climbing
  • Singing “If you’re happy and you know it”, “Wheels on the Bus”, and “Twinkle Twinkle”
  • Feeding himself (especially while sitting on my lap, eating from my plate)
  • Playing trucks and trains
  • Playing with balls
  • Splashing in the swimming pool and at the water table
  • Yogurt, hot dogs, cereal, pizza, noodles, chocolate chips and most fruits

Will is less enthusiastic about:

  • Having his face wiped or his teeth brushed
  • Having his diaper changed and his socks and shoes put on
  • Having toys stolen from him (poor guy, we try to keep this from happening)

He can:

  • Say: “Stuck!”, “Choc[olate]”, “I like choc[olate]”, “Truck”, “Bye, truck”, “Hi!”, “Bye” and “Bee-bo”
  • Sing parts of “Twinkle Twinkle”, “Wheels on the Bus” and “Day of the Diesels”
  • Tell you what several of the animals in Brown Bear Brown Bear are
  • Do a lot of the actions in Head to Toe
  • Negotiate pretty much any kind of playground equipment
  • Remember parts of Are You a Cow and Not the Hippopotamus
  • Swim to the side of a swimming pool or between two people underwater

He:

  • Doesn’t nap a lot
  • Goes to bed around 7:30pm and is up at 6:30/7am
  • Wears size 18 month to 2T clothes
  • Wears size 3 – 4 diapers
  • Is getting molars

At 16 months, Scott was also in a bee-bo phase:

This time last year, Will was finding his voice.

And two years ago, we learned (but weren’t yet telling) that Will would be joining our family.

WHERE is this time going?? Such cuteness…we can’t wait to be with 16-month-old Will and experience all that he’s into now!
